Skills leveraged: API Integration | Prompt Engineering | Strategic Planning | User-Centered Design
As part of our commitment to improving educational resources, we launched a GPT model to transform how students in our district explore courses and plan their careers. This AI-powered tool integrates directly into our course catalog and specific websites, allowing students to retrieve personalized information on courses, career pathways, and potential salaries through a simple conversational interface. We prioritized both accessibility and accuracy to ensure that all students can benefit from reliable and tailored guidance.
My role in this project was prevalent throughout all phases:
- Strategic planning to design the purpose and scope of the chatbot.
- User-centered design to ensure the chatbot was usable by students with limited or no English proficiency.
- Prompt engineering to guide the AI through various scenarios and validation.
- API integration to publish the chatbot on the district’s website.
This project enables students to now make more informed decisions about their educational and career paths with ease and confidence.
